Exhibit runs from February 5 to April 22, 2010
An exhibition featuring professional and community artists that celebrates the ecology of Salinas, Prunedale and Castroville by following the course of the water that lands on the Pacific side of the Gabilans and Fremont Peak. Following the successful 2004 exhibit about the Pajaro watershed, project director Jennifer Colby was asked to collaborate with the CSUMB Watershed Institute's Return of the Natives to tell their 15-year-old story of restoration of Natividad Park and Carr Lake.

Monterey County is located in Salinas. Around 50 galleries, shops,

A Year in the Vineyard:
Documenting 12 Months in the Pessagno Vineyards of the Santa Lucia Highlands
EXHIBIT OPENING: SATURDAY, MAY 1, 2010, 11 am to 4 pm
Pessagno Winery, 1645 River Road (16 miles south of Hwy 68)
This event is part of the River Road Wine Trail Spring Fest annual open houses.

I visited these vineyards off River Road in the Salinas Valley at least once a month. I photographed at sunrise and sunset, microscopic to landscape, color and black & white as I visually explored the source of Monterey County chardonnay and pinot noir grapes. The result is a huge collection of photographs that will be released as an exhibit in the Pessagno Winery tasting room and with the entire portfolio in a book.

This exhibit includes the work of 37 members of the ImageMakers of Monterey, a fine art photography club with more than 60 members. It is also the first time in decades that the Center for Photographic Art has exhibited the work of a local art organization.
