My first trip to Joshua Tree was a 5-day whirlwind personal tour given by my good friend, Robert Alexander. He had me in the perfect location timed to capture the perfect lighting throughout the adventure. I had been up until 4 am shooting Joshua Tree Night Trails when Robert dragged me into his truck around 6 am, and whisked me off at high speed all the way across the national park to get this cholla garden right at sunrise. It’s only then that they glow and only for a few minutes. |
