Photographing sandpipers is like playing a game: how close can you get before they all scatter and reform 50 feet down the beach, and you start all over again. I gave this a hint of soft focus for a dreamy effect which also gave it the look of a pencil and charcoal drawing. These beach dwellers are individuals just like us, each with its own style of dancing up and down the shore to the rhythm of the tide. |
